Kvasshovden
Ulvik with a view - 1065 meters above sealevel, to be exact! The hike up Mount Kvasshovden is steep but incredibly rewarding, leading to one of the tallest peaks in Ulvik. Trek past traditional summer pasture farms and cabins for a traste of Norwegian summer-traditions.
The hike to the summit Kvasshovden starts at sea level and ends at1065 meterabove sea level. The hike is7.5 kmlong. Form the summit the view over the fjords and montains is wonderful.
In7,5 kmthe hike goes from sea level to1065 metersabove sea level. The hike starts at Ulvik Fjord Hotel and the hike is marked all the way. The terrain is steep and there is some rugged terrain to pass. Total time needed for the hike is 5-6 hours. In July every year there is held an uphill race to Kvasshovden following this route. In June there may still be parts with snow near the summit. From the top the view is magnificent with fjords and mountains.
