Gården Li / DNT - The coastal farmstead

The recently restored Li Farm on the Hidra plains offers panoramic views over Hidra.

Visit one of Norway's southernmost cabins. Li Farm is an old farm built on a remote hill facing an amazing panoramic view towards the Hidra island. In the old days families lived in the mountains by the sea and lived off fish, farm animals and hunting.  In 1989 the last inhabitant – a Dutch woman- moved from the farm. Since 1991 the local DNT – the Norwegian Trekking Association – has offered the farmstead as a DNT cabin.

Around the historic farm location, there are several options for outdoor activities. You can hike, paddle, fish or climb by using via ferrata route along the dramatic cliffs by to the sea. There are no animals at the farm. A fifteen-minute-stroll through the forest brings you to the Dåtlandstrand harbour. 

To book a stay
The renovated farm buildings have a total of 26 beds:
There are 14 beds in the house and 12 beds in the barn.
Most people who visit Li want to stay in the house which is very cozy. 

To stay in the house – Våningshus- you will have to book you stay at listerbooking.no (Kystled hytta Li /DNT) and pay using pay-pal. You do not need a pay-pal account. Members of the DNT get a discount.  On the receipt you will find the code to access the back door of the house.

Members of the DNT can pay NOK 100,- for a universal DNT-cabin (order online on dntbutikken.no) . People who possess a key may access the barn. There is one bedroom with 8 bunk beds, and a loft with 3-4 mattresses. Please pay to the account number or stop by SR-Bank in Flekkefjord.

For overnight guests, it is possible to rent a kayak (requires experience: a certificate called "våt kort") and equipment for Via Ferrata (requires climbing experience / Brattkort).
