Guided ski touring with Hovden Aktiv!

Gain confidence on the tour!
The goal is to develop your own skills so that you become a more experienced "ski touring enthusiast" who is confident in your own abilities, route choices, and has good technique both uphill and downhill. Although technique is important, we always keep the nature experience in focus. We go where the weather and health allow us to go, so the tour is continuously adapted according to your needs. You will have qualified guides with good local knowledge who focus on safety and ensuring a social and enjoyable trip.

Meeting point for the tour is outside Hovden Aktiv at the ski resort at 09:00.
The end time will vary depending on the length of the tour and travel time, so you need to be a little flexible, but this is a day trip.

Number of participants:
We must have at least 3 participants to carry out the tour. If there are not enough registered, you will be contacted the day before for cancellation or the option to pay extra to proceed.

Skiing and avalanche equipment:
We recommend that you test your equipment beforehand so that you are familiar with it before the tour, but we are of course helpful with adjustment and adaptation.

Mandatory equipment:
- Shovel
- Probe
- Avalanche transceiver (transmitter/receiver)
- Day tour backpack
- Ski touring skis/splitboard + skins
- Telescopic poles
- Suitable clothing for all weather conditions + extra sweater/layer in the backpack
- Helmet and ski goggles
- Blister plasters

You must bring your own water and food/snacks; this is important for a good trip.

All equipment can be rented from us at the rental shop at the ski resort. It must be rented at least one day before the tour, and it is your own responsibility to have all the equipment in place before the tour. Missing equipment may result in the tour being canceled for you without a refund.
It is possible to join with snowshoes. We need information upon registration for route planning.

Participant requirements:
You should be in decent shape and have basic skiing experience. You must be able to ski off-piste under changing weather and snow conditions with a backpack on, both uphill and downhill.

Is the tour fully booked? Contact us to be placed on the waiting list.
If you are unsure about skills off the slopes, you can book a personal trainer for lift-based freeriding beforehand.
The tour may be canceled for safety reasons at short notice. In case of cancellation due to bad weather, snow conditions, or other safety reasons, we will try to reschedule the tour to another day free of charge or refund the tour upon request.
You must have normal travel insurance to be covered in case anything happens before or during the tour.
