23 February, Nasjonalbiblioteket: Young star violinist with lush baroque music and ascetic minimalism
Oslo Chamber Orchestra and violinist Sara Övinge hold a concert in Norway's National Library.
Övinge started to play the violin at age four, and is the youngest person ever to graduate from the Norwegian Academy of Music. She has won numerous prizes and awards, and is considered among Scandinavia's most talented young musicians.
The concert programme spans from lush baroque music to ascetic minimalism, featuring music by Heinrich I. F. Biber, Antonio Vivaldi, Arvo Pärt og Philip Glass.
