Bergen orgelsommer - Bergen International Organ Festival - Daniel Brunn in St. John's Church (Johanneskirken)

Normally the most visible church in Bergen, St. John's Church is currently hidden behind scaffolding as it undergoes restoration. Inside, however, its splendour remains intact. Consecrated in 1894, the church houses a historic organ by Schlag & Söhne, restored in 1999 and cherished by organists for German Romantic repertoire.

Daniel Bruun is organist at Helleruplund Church (Denmark), alongside an active career as a concert organist. With several critically acclaimed CD releases, he has established an international profile and has performed concerts throughout most of Europe. His repertoire places particular emphasis on the music of Johann Sebastian Bach as well as German and French Romanticism. Program details will be announced later.
