Bergens Consort in St. Mary's Church

In the shadow of Mariakirken and the old wharf of Bryggen, Bergen once stood at the crossroads of the Hanseatic world, where merchants brought not only goods, but also melodies, dances, and new musical fashions.

For an evening, we follow those routes where sounds travelled north through Dutch and Prussian ports, before taking roots in Bergen's churches and homes. French elegance, Italian invention, German craft and English spirit meet Norwegian folklore, in a concert presented by Bergens Consort.
