Dolly Parton-concert

Welcome to a Dolly Parton concert at Sædalen kirke.

In spring 2024 we held a series of devotions at Birkeland kirke based on texts from Parton's enormous song catalogue. These were wonderful evenings, and we had powerful encounters with a brilliant songwriter and composer. We have wanted to gather the threads from that project in a concert evening, and this autumn we are making it happen.

On 19 January this year Dolly Parton turned 80, and on 25 August she died. She leaves behind a formidable life's work, with songs and stories that will live on for generations. This evening we want both to celebrate and to remember Dolly Parton with a concert where we sing songs she has written.

This will be an evening with relaxed shoulders and fantastic songs.

Free entry, with the option to give a gift to the cultural work of Sædalen menighet.

The concert is supported by Sparebanken Norge.
