Mick Harvey is a renowned musician, producer and composer who has been active for over 45 years. He is perhaps best known as a member of The Birthday Party and The Bad Seeds , as well as for his long-standing collaborations with PJ Harvey and Nick Cave . In addition to composing music for 10 feature films and numerous short films and documentaries, he has released 10 solo albums over the past 20 years and has received numerous awards from the Australian music industry. He won the AFI Award for Best Original Score for "Suburban Mayhem" in 2006, and in 2011 he was named British Producer of the Year for his (co-)production of PJ Harvey's "Let England Shake".

Mick Harvey also had great success with his Serge Gainsbourg interpretations, including Bonnie & Clyde, which became a big radio hit.

Mexican artist Amanda Acevedo is now deep into her ongoing collaboration with Mick Harvey. After studying film in her hometown of San Luis Potosí in 2020/21, Acevedo teamed up with one of her heroes to create a thematically rich collection of duets, “Phantasmagoria in Blue,” and continues this work into 2025 with their new release, “Golden Mirrors.” She currently studies and works in Melbourne, Australia.

"Golden Mirrors: The Uncovered Sessions Vol. 1" is the new album by Mick Harvey & Amanda Acevedo. This is planned as the first in a series of projects that explore songwriters for whom Harvey and Acevedo have a particular fondness. In this case, the songwriter is Jackson C. Frank, a once-almost forgotten American folk-pop artist who has recently been rediscovered. Songs by Frank are interpreted here by Harvey and Acevedo.
