Text from the organiser:
Dear friends of organ music, welcome to Oslo Cathedral and this year’s summer concert series!
Over the course of 15 Saturdays from July to October, we invite you to enjoy festive and varied concerts featuring organists from both Norway and abroad. Each concert has its own distinctive character, reflecting the guest artist’s musical background and traditions.
During the summer months, when daily life slows down and time opens up a little more, we wish to highlight organ music in the cathedral on our magnificent organ, built in 1998 by the Norwegian organ builder Ryde & Berg.
Alessandro Chiantoni, organ, performing works by Widor, Bach, Brahms, Bruckner, and Liszt.
We are committed to making organ music accessible to as many people as possible. Feel free to take a programme, share it with friends and family, and invite someone to join you at one of the concerts! Children and students are always admitted free of charge.
We look forward to welcoming you to Oslo Cathedral for the concerts and wish you a wonderful summer!
Kind regards,
Marcus André Berg and Tjark Pinne
