Quiet is the new loud

Three tap dancers step out of their shoes. They slide across the floor on the plinth. Come closer and listen with your whole body; feel the wind in their movements, the sound from their dancing feet.

In Soft Ice, choreographer Janne Eraker focuses on a very specific part of tap dance's vocabulary, namely slides, scrapes and drags, and the audience is invited to experience the dance form in a new way. Together with a guitarist, the three dancers create a dynamic soundscape from whisper-quiet to intense swinging rhythms. The performance can therefore also be enjoyed as a concert - with your eyes closed.

Soft Ice draws your eyes and ears close to the dance floor, allowing you to experience the dancing forms that arise on the floor, in the room and in the bodies, before they disappear, like a beautiful, fleeting loop.
