M/F Øisang is Norway's oldest wooden ferry. It was built in Moen in Risør in 1950 and has been in operation ever since. The ferry runs between Risør city and Øysang.
The ferry runs between Risør city and Øysang. It is certified for 60 passengers and three cars. Øysang ferry is not just a mode of transport, it is also a tourist attraction.
The ferry runs several times a day during winter, but only on weekdays.
From mid June - beginning of August there are more departures, especially during festivals. You can find the ferry times on the website, at the tourist office and at the piers in Risør and at Øisang.
"MF Øisang" is also part of the national bicycle route no. 1/North Sea Cycle Route.
