Riding classes and farm for the whole family

The Petting Zoo

EKT Husdyrpark is like a farm in the city. All of the animals roam free, and you may come up close to the most common domestic animals and pet them. Children may ride on ponies in the yard for 50 NOK. Open every day of the year.

The visitor's farm has a playground an picnic areas. Indoor and outdoor seating, as well as a heated room on the second floor to warm up on a cold day. A snack bar is open on weekends.

The horse-riding school
EKT Riding School is one of Norway's largest and oldest horse-riding schools, with approximately 350 students per week. Varied horse-riding courses are held every week. They offer both classes and private courses. EKT is one of the best places in Norway for horse riding therapy.


About EKT Horse Riding School and Petting Zoo
The riding school was first opened at Ekeberg in 1952, and since 1964 it has looked much like today, with stables and a small zoo with farm animals. EKT wishes to give people of all ages better physical and mental health through experiences with animals and horse riding. EKT has been run privately by the same family for three generations.
