Have you ever wanted to float through the untouched powder snow on a beautiful winter day but felt that you lack the skills? Then an intro course to off piste skiing might be for you!
This course provides an introduction to the fantastic world of off piste. We cover skiing technique in powder snow, choosing lines in the forest, and safety on the mountain, and hopefully, we find some good snow along the way. This course is designed for those who have speed control on groomed slopes but haven't ventured much off-piste.
Narvikfjellet offers guided off-piste skiing based on the lift network.
- Duration: 2 hours
- Available on: mondays, wednesdays and fridays from february to april 2026
- Number of students: Up to 1-6 students in each group.
- Number of instructors: 1
- Meeting place: Outside the Skishop, Skistua 57, 8517 Narvik
- Admission requirements: Participants must be able to drive parallel turns in varied terrain and under varying snow conditions.
- Equipment: Must have own ski equipment (preferably skis designed for freeriding), avalanche equipment (transmitter/receiver, probe, shovel), helmet and lift pass. We offer 30% discount on ski rental in connection to the skilession.
