Every week, all year round, Latter presents a varied comedy programme. From Tuesday to Saturday, audiences can enjoy both leading comedians and exciting new talent, with everything from stand-up and solo shows to international acts.

SMIL is Latter’s cocktail bar and a natural meeting place on Aker Brygge. During the summer, a lunch menu is served featuring Nordic flavours and seasonal, locally sourced ingredients, including homemade bagels with Norwegian salmon, Skagen toast and Caprese toast with burrata made next door. Freshly baked chocolate chip cookies, warm and meltingly soft, are always available.

As evening approaches, SMIL transforms into a lively cocktail bar, focusing on craftsmanship, great flavours and a relaxed atmosphere – perfect for a drink before or after a show.

Latter Restaurant, located on the second floor, serves seasonal dishes made with carefully selected ingredients, offering a wide range of meat, fish, vegetarian and vegan options.

History

Located at Holmens gate 1, Latter is Norway’s largest comedy theatre. The building has roots in Aker Mechanical Workshop, later converted into an IMAX cinema before opening as a theatre in 2004. Today, it combines historic character with modern comforts – and is open to everyone, even without a show ticket.
