At the heart of Lysebu lies a highly regarded restaurant founded on a unique Danish–Norwegian collaboration. The culinary philosophy is rooted in classic Danish and Norwegian cuisine, reinterpreted through a contemporary Nordic lens. Menus evolve with the seasons and are based on honest, natural produce, often sourced from Lysebu’s own kitchen garden. The result is clean, well-defined flavours and comforting dishes that together create a dining experience reflecting the character and heritage of the house.
The restaurant offers à la carte dining, seasonal menus and tailored menus for private events, all updated several times a year. Menus are composed by the Head Chef, with carefully curated wine pairings selected by the sommelier to enhance each dish. The traditional Danish open sandwiches have become a signature of the restaurant.
With a range of elegant private dining rooms, Lysebu is a natural choice for marking life’s most important occasions, from christenings and confirmations to anniversaries, weddings and memorial gatherings. Throughout the year, the restaurant also hosts atmospheric gourmet evenings and wine tastings for both local guests and guests staying at Lysebu.
