Het stadsmuseum is gevestigd in de imposante koopmanswoning Andorsengården uit 1805 en heeft de grootste expositie over vis van de regio Sørlandet.

Deze geeft een beeld van de ontwikkeling van de vistechniek en visuitrusting langs de kust van Sørlandet. Daarnaast heeft het museum een eigen kunstverzameling.



Deze bestaat onder meer uit de grootste Noorse kunstverzameling van Amaldus Nielsen, dé kunstenaar van Sørlandet bij uitstek. Ook worden werken getoond van stadsgenoten als Adolph Tidemand, Olaf Isaachsen en Gustav Vigeland.
