Learn about Oslo's history.

Oslo’s own museum presents the city’s rich history through varied exhibitions.

Free entry for everyone on the first Thursday of the month.

Frogner Manor

Close to the museum you will find Frogner Manor House with its glorious halls and interiors from circa 1750–1900. Up until 1909 this was a vacation home for well-off citizens where they hosted grand parties. During summer you can experience Frogner Manor on your own or join one of the tours.

Library, photo gallery, and café

Café and museum shop: The museum’s café serves coffee, baked goods, and lunch dishes – and can be visited during the museum’s opening hours. The library and the photo gallery are open by appointment.
