Enjoy a visit to Bergen Botanical Garden were you will find incredible and unique plants from all over the world, included edangered and vulnerable species.

In beautiful and natural surroundings on Milde, south of Bergen city center, you will find the Bergen Botanical Garden.

A unique and beautiful collection of plants most people see for the very first time when they visit our gardens.

We work to preserve endangered plant species for the future, and use plants in dissemination and teaching at the University of Bergen.

A visit to our botanical garden will engage, enlighten and inspire you to appreciate and understand the role of plants in the development of a more sustainable world.

Open all year.

How to get to the Arboretum:

By public transport:
Take the Bergen Light Rail (Bybanen) from Bergen city centre to Birkelandskiftet, then change to bus number 53. Bus times vary throughout the day and by season. The final stop, “Milde snuplass (Bergen),” is close to Bergen Botanical Garden; the second-to-last stop, “Fana Folkehøgskule,” is closest to the Arboretum.

Parking:
There are three free parking areas: Dalsmyra, Mildevågen, and Botanical Garden by Vågelva. Free disabled parking is available at the north end of the Botanical Garden and near the Grønevika recreational area.

Driving up to the greenhouse or Blondehuset is not allowed unless arranged in advance with staff or for HC (handicap) parking.
