Combine a bicycle ride with the opportunity to explore local arts & crafts

Combine a bicycle ride with the opportunity to explore local arts & crafts. A recommended round-trip is a visit to Fabrikken and then the Ment porcelain outlet at Fåberg – perhaps with a stop for a swim at Jorekstad Fritidsbad.

Fabrikken enjoys a central location in Løkkegata 9 in Lillehammer, and comprises workshops, ateliers and outlets selling glass art, jewellery, ceramics, visual art, and more.

To reach Ment, follow Storgata and then the Gudbrandsdalsvegen cycle path past Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences (HINN). Turn left down Brunlaugbakken towards Fåberg, and you will see a sign for Ment. Opening hours are Fridays and Saturdays 12-16, but other times can be arranged with prior booking.

From Ment, continue down to the bridge across Lågen and follow Steinkista to Jorekstad Fritidsbad. Then follow Jørstadmovegen through a spectacular cultural landscape to Vingnes. At Vingnes, enjoy a break at Skibladnerbrygga. This is the ideal spot (Vingnesvika) for a dip in Mjøsa. To return to Lillehammer, cycle across the Vingnesbrua bridge.
(Alternatively, follow Gausdalsvegen from Jorekstad back to HINN and then take the same route back to Lillehammer).
