The story of David-Andersen:

Our story began at the end of the 19th century when David Andersen from Toten started as a goldsmith in Kristiania. His burning passion for the craft and ability to innovate inspired his colleagues. This resulted in a company that grew quickly, with a good reputation and high competence. David Andersen gained international recognition and managed to experience the company's 25th anniversary before his death in 1901.

Since then, his successors have continued to drive David Andersen forward. Today, it is the fifth generation, his great-great-grandchildren, who maintain the legacy. After two world wars, thousands of christenings, declarations of love, and marriages, we are still here. We have been designing and producing jewelry since 1876 - from the era of national romanticism to postmodernism. We have won the world exhibition, supplied tableware to Oslo City Hall, and produced, among other things, the "dragonfly bowl" which is displayed at the National Museum of Art, Architecture, and Design.

Our history is deeply rooted through generations. Our employees not only have a workplace; they maintain the heritage while helping to further develop us—every single day. In this way, David Andersen's traditions, innovation, and craftsmanship have created jewelry that has been lasting testimonies of love and relationships for nearly 150 years.
