Enjoy the fall in Rauland

Rauland is located in West Telemark at the foot of Hardangervidda, and the area offers wonderful nature experiences for the whole family. Here you can comfortably stay in hotels, cabins or apartments, and you have wild beautiful scenery right outside the door. The location between East and West in Southern Norway makes Rauland a perfect area for recreation, relaxation and outdoor activities throughout the year.

Raulandsfjell offers affordable accommodation and offers both cycling and canoe rental, and is recommended for the simple and active family. Here you have a short walk to Falkeriset, with stunning panoramic views of Hardangervidda - and a stepped path that is well-suited for walkers of all ages. Here are also large areas with berries and mushrooms.

At the ski center and in Holtardalen, Rauland Feriesenter has a variety of cabins and apartments, and the area is nice summer and winter with nice hiking trails right outside the cabin walls.

Follow the main road towards Rjukan to Vierli with the children's farmyard, playground, cafeteria, a great fishing lake (Uvatn) and the opportunity to rent a boat / canoe. Rauland Feriesenter has a selection of cabins with good views and nice hiking areas in the immediate vicinity.

Rauland has a small town center with shops, gas station, restaurant and bathing hall. Here are also sports outlets, gift and interior shops with a selection of handicrafts and interior to home and cottage.

Here you can experience everything the mountains of Telemark has to offer of attractions and experiences, from berry picking and top trip to Falkeriset, to swimming, museums and cable cars in Rjukan.

If you want to venture into scenic Hardangervidda, you can go hiking with MF Fjellvåken from Skinnarbu to Mogen, where you have wide variety, sea and mountains as far as the eye can see. At Mogen you are at the gateway to Hardangervidda, Norway's largest high mountain plateau and national park. MF Fjellvåken offers a high-speed cruise with a return trip the same day.
