Fiskeværet Hovden - Glamping

Here with us you get to experience glamorous camping in contrasting surroundings, close to the sea and by a beautiful white sandy beach. Accommodation in the Arctic dome is a year-round glamping offer, while the five canvas tents are offered in June, July and August.

Hovden is an old fishing village in the municipality Bø on the seaward side of Vesterålen, where sky and sea meet in the horizon. In these contrasting environments you can experience coastal culture in an active fishing village, close to nature and forces of nature, a wild and beautiful landscape and an inclusive community that currently consists of thirteen locals.

Hovden is enriched with three white sandy beaches, a wild and beautiful landscape with great hiking areas, mountains and the smell of sea air. The open landscape towards the big ocean gives fast and changing weather conditions and contributes to spectacular natural experiences and contrasts. It is a favorite place for shooting midnight sun, northern lights, landscapes, birds and everyday life in an active fishing village. This is the paradise for recreation inspiration, excitement, active or slow experiences.

Hovden is an excellent starting point for cycling and day trips around Vesterålen.

Glamorous camping
Here with us you can spend the night in a canvas tent or an Arctic dome, which are cozy furnished with double bed, duvet and pillow, carpets, electricity, a heater and WiFi. The guests have access to two bathroom with toilet and shower. Additional to that a kitchen room with refrigerator, coffee maker, kettle, cups and glasses.

The five glamping tents are located next to a beautiful white sandy beach, behind the Storhavet kafé. At the cafe you can order any meal.

Accommodation in the glamping tents is an offer intended for adults, but we try in some periods, to arrange for older children accompanied by an adult, in the same tent, to have the opportunity. It must then be booked directly. Pets are not allowed.

At Storhavet kafé, home-cooked dishes are served with local produce and products. We also offer accommodation in holiday home.
