Frafjord

Frafjord is a fjord around six kilometres long, stretching from Dirdal and in to the village of Frafjord. The fjord has steep sides, with the mountains on the north side of the fjord reaching up to 700 metres in height.

Enjoy the quiet nature in idyllic Frafjord.

Similar to another famous fjord, Lysefjorden, Frafjord also has very steep mountain sides. On the northside of the fjord, the mountains stretch almost 700 metres up from the fjord. In this area, you can explore Stordalsknuten with an altitude of 692 metres above sea level, Sveknuten at 764 metres above sea level and Dypingsknuten at 791 metres above sea level.
