MOSJØEN

Fru Haugans Hotel

Fru Haugans Hotel in Mosjøen is North Norway's oldest hotel, and has been in operation since 1794. The hotel is located in the charming Sjøgata, along the river Vefsna. Sjøgata has the region's oldest wooden buildings and offers a variety of shops and galleries.

The history of Fru Haugans Hotel goes back over 200 years. Today the hotel has 129 rooms, two nice restaurants and bars, and a great outdoor dining area. The rooms range from standard double, superior and deluxe, with the latter accommodating up to four people. Five of the rooms are handicapped accessible. The hotel also has two suites, one historic and one modern. Common to all rooms and both suites is that you can rest assured of a good night's sleep.

The hotel is located in Sjøgata, which, with the region's oldest wooden house, has a number of cozy shops and galleries. If you have driven down Kystriksveien and return along the E6, Mosjøen and Fru Haugans hotel are a natural choice. From here you can also quickly reach the coast. With a new road and tunnel (Toventunellen), the journey from Mosjøen to Leirfjord takes only 25 min and 50 min to Sandnessjøen.
