Gamlestøga

Gamlestøga Cabins are situated on the Filefjell mountains. There are 5 cabins for rent, 1 for 10 persons and 4 for 8 persons each. The big cabin ("storhytten") has 10 bed spaces in 6 bed rooms, a large kitchen, dining room for 35 people and a living room with a fire place and sofa space for 25 persons as well as a bath room with shower/WC and a sauna.  The other cabins feature 2 bed rooms with 4 beds (bunk beds) each, a kitchen, bathroom with shower/WC and a living room with a fire place. The compund is situated in beautiful nature at 1000 m.a.s.l. at the shore of Lake Otrøvatnet on the Filefjell mountains, the divide between Eastern and Western Norway. The E16 that runs between Oslo and Bergen is 3 km away. There are great opportunities for hiking, mountaineering, fishing, cycling and in the winter cross country and downhill skiing.
