Experience magical glamping by Randsfjorden
Welcome to a truly special experience at Thorbjørnrud Hotel—glamping, or glamorous camping, at its finest! Here, we combine comfort, nature, and adventure to give you an unforgettable holiday. With our luxurious canvas tents, you’ll be close to nature without compromising on convenience.
Glamping - Nature’s magic and comfort in one
Ever dreamed of waking up to birdsong, sunlight filtering through the canvas, and the fresh scent of nature? With us, you can enjoy all that—plus a comfortable bed, atmospheric lighting, and plenty of space in our 2- or 4-person canvas tents.
The tents are furnished with beds, chairs, rugs, and decorative lighting, creating a romantic and enchanting atmosphere. Thanks to electrical outlets and a fan heater, you’ll stay warm and dry, whatever the weather. The tents are 4-5 meters in diameter and boast an impressive ceiling height of 3 meters. On warm days, roll up the tent walls to let in a gentle breeze, providing a natural “air conditioning.”
Practical facilities for a perfect stay
We’ve set everything up to make your glamping experience worry-free. Each tent has access to modern toilet and shower facilities. In front of the tents, you’ll find comfortable outdoor furniture where you can relax and enjoy the breathtaking view of Randsfjorden.
Please note that dogs are not permitted in the glamping tents. If you’d like to bring your four-legged friends, we offer dog-friendly twin rooms in the hotel.
Savor local cuisine and exclusive beverages
Thorbjørnrud Hotel is known for its passion for local and sustainably sourced food. Experience exceptional flavors with ingredients sourced directly from our own hotel garden and nearby farms. In the Director’s Residence, we serve an exclusive 4-course menu to be enjoyed in an elegant atmosphere overlooking Randsfjorden.
We take pride in producing our own wine from 6,000 vines on the hotel’s grounds, and our house-brewed beer offers a unique taste of Norwegian ingredients at their best.
Sustainability in focus
As an Eco-Lighthouse certified hotel, we take sustainability seriously. We use eco-friendly products, such as organic wellness items from Elm Organics, and we continuously work to reduce our environmental footprint. With us, you can enjoy your vacation with a clean conscience, benefiting both yourself and the planet.
