Hotel Norge has been an icon and one of Bergen’s most prominent hotels ever since it first opened in 1885. The hotel reopened in 2018 after a two-year-long renovation process, reclaiming its position as an iconic and modern lifestyle hotel, and a meeting place where local character blends with international style to create a dynamic and unique ambiance.

Location:
The hotel is situated in a unique location at the end of Torgallmenningen, the main square in the heart of Bergen, surrounded by the seven mountains and within easy walking distance to all the town’s amenities, which include shops, restaurants and a lively cultural scene. There really is no better location for guests on business or leisure.

As a guest of the hotel, you are welcome to enjoy our relaxing and beautiful heated pool, sauna, steam room and a wonderful relaxation area with recliner chairs.

Rooms:
Our 415 new and elegant rooms have been refurbished to a very high standard of quality with a contemporary, understated Nordic design. Among the many distinctive features are the floor-to-ceiling windows that look out across the mountains, countryside and town. We can also offer guests their own view room overlooking lake Lille Lungegaardsvann and their own balcony room.

The hotel offers 415 rooms, 14 of which are spacious Junior suites, two are beautiful Master suites and one is the 60-square-metre Presidential suite. Each suite has a private terrace commanding stunning views. One of the suites also has a sauna and Jacuzzi on its terrace.

Conference rooms:
We also offer a choice of versatile conference rooms with state-of-the-art facilities and stylish Nordic design. The rooms have beautiful views and atmospheric lighting that set the tone for productive meetings. Our conference coordinators will help with the planning and running of your meeting to ensure it is tailored to your wishes.

Our magnificent Ballroom accommodates up to 250 guests. It is the perfect venue for creating unforgettable moments. This room is ideal for all kinds of business and private events, including board meetings and dinners, business meetings, product launches, banquets, weddings, birthdays and other special gatherings. Whatever the occasion, our In-house Events Manager will ensure that your event is arranged exactly to your specifications.

Whether your meeting or party is large or small, formal or informal, with friends or colleagues, catering is an important component and should be nothing less than perfect. Our guests are therefore served delicious morning breaks, taste breaks, lunch and evening meals created by Ørjan Johannessen and his team, winners of the Bocuse d’Or gold medal.
