Husky hike in Tamok valley
Join one of our local guides on a hike in Tamok valley. We will bring one or more of our playful alaska huskies.
The huskies at our kennel come in all different sizes and shapes and with a variety of different personalities. Some of them are calm and focused and know how to save their energy, while others are full of curiosity about their surroundings and are always up for an adventure.
If there are more than one person joining us for this trip, we will try to match you up with a dog that will be a good companion for you. You will have a hip harness to attach your dog to the leash, so please let us know if you have problems with your mobility or .
The guide will tell you more about the dogs on the hike and also about the area that you are moving through. We will stop at a suitable point in the valley and have lunch which will give you an opportunity to take photos of the beautiful valley and mountains in Tamok. If the weather is bad we eat lunch by the fire in our wooden lavvo.
This trip is suitable for people of all ages with a regular level of fitness.
Duration: 3-4 hours. The hike is 8 km long.
Participants: Min 2 people/ Max 10 people.
What to bring: Wear hiking boots if you have them. Bring a small backpack and a water bottle.
Meeting point and time: 10 AM. Harkinn husky farm, Tamokveien.
