Espeland
Just outside Bergen, in Espeland, lies Janus Wool – one of Norway's oldest wool factories.
Wool garments have been knitted here since 1895, and in 2025 the company marked 130 years of continuous production at the same site. With extensive experience in merino wool, the factory combines tradition with innovation. Every thread, seam, and design choice reflects Scandinavian quality and craftsmanship.
High-quality wool garments are produced daily, made for Norwegian conditions with precision. The clothing combines function, comfort, and durability – whether used in the mountains, in the city, or in everyday life.
The factory remains in full operation, and visitors are welcome to explore the factory outlet in Espeland to learn more about the history and view the products up close.
