Lauklines

Lauklines is located by Kattfjorden on Kvaløya, approximately a 30-minute drive from Tromsø Airport. Private transport can be booked from the airport or Tromsø city centre.

The accommodation is suitable both for guests seeking an active holiday outside the city and for those who wish to relax in peaceful, scenic surroundings.

Together with their family and employees, Hanna and Andreas have developed Lauklines into a well-established holiday resort. The trading post was established in 1920 and was used as a fish reception facility and general store, among other things. The property has operated as a holiday resort since 1999. The buildings have been restored and are regularly maintained, and the three premium fishermen’s cabins were renovated in 2022 and 2023.

Accommodation is available in three premium fishermen’s cabins and three standard fishermen’s cabins, all located close to the water. The cabins are fully equipped and accommodate up to six guests. Each cabin is rented in its entirety, and the nightly rate depends on the number of guests staying.

The reception is open every day. Here, you can receive advice and recommendations about local activities and experiences, rent equipment including snowshoes, stand-up paddleboards, kicksleds, sledges and warm clothing, and purchase gifts, snacks, drinks and souvenirs.

The nearest grocery shop is approximately a 25-minute drive from Lauklines. There are also several grocery shops along the route between Tromsø Airport and Lauklines.

Several local guided tour operators offer pick-up from Lauklines. For other transport requirements, Lauklines can help arrange private transport or put you in contact with a local taxi company.

Activities and experiences in the area include sea fishing by charter boat, hiking, the Midnight Sun, the Northern Lights, dog sledding, kayaking, fjord cruises, ski touring and cycling along quiet roads. Some activities are offered by Lauklines, while others are operated by local partners.
