History
The seahouse (sjøhus) is one of the oldest quayside buildings in Svolvær. It was built in 1850 and was formerly situated on the island of Svinøya, next to the Børsen Spiseri restaurant, before it was relocated to Marinepollen in 1938.
After it was moved, the seahouse was used as a fish landing station and as lodgings and storage room for fishermen. In more recent years it has been restored and redeveloped into overnight accommodations.
