Lura Turistheim has been serving traditional Norwegian food since 1949 - komle, meatballs, fish gratin and other classics made from scratch.

Real food since 1949

Every day since 1949, food has been made from scratch in the kitchen at Lura Turistheim. We serve traditional Norwegian food - ready when our guests are hungry.

Traditional food - never semi-finished products

Meatballs with brown gravy and potatoes, homemade fish gratin and komle with salted meat, sausage and melted butter: At a time when new eating habits dominate, traditional Norwegian dishes have almost disappeared from menus. But Lura Turistheim is still holding its own. The guests say so themselves: ‘Fortunately, Lura Turistheim exists.’ Some of the regulars have eaten komle every Thursday since 1949 - at the same table, at the same time. Others are brand new and are served fish gratin by the teaspoonful, safely on mum or dad's lap. What they all have in common is a desire for the flavour of real food made from scratch, generous portions and quick service.

Real food - Siv knows all about it

Siv started washing dishes at Lura Turistheim as a thirteen-year-old in 1979. Today, together with the skilled chefs, she is responsible for ensuring that the komla still tastes as it should every Thursday. She is also the one who ensures that the classic sandwiches are still popular - and that the traditional beef stew, which has been on the menu since the 1970s, received top marks at Gladmat in 2019.

Special wishes and needs

Lura Turistheim is fully licensed in all the restaurants. Do your guests have allergies or special needs? Let them know - if it can be solved, they'll solve it.
