Stay overnight at the idyllic Nesheimstunet farm

Nesheimstunet farm, which boasts 18 comfortable beds in 8 rooms, is run by Elisabeth and Bjørn Steinar Nesheim. ‘Gamla Løå' has 4 double rooms with ensuite bathrooms, as well as a beautiful wedding suite in the round silo. ‘Oldemors hus' has 8 beds in 3 bedrooms and it’s possible to rent the entire house.

You can enjoy homemade food made from local ingredients served in tranquil surroundings with a nostalgic atmosphere. The kitchen uses local ingredients as far as possible. Elisabeth and Bjørn Steinar's son runs the main farm, and some of the farm's produce can be found on the menu.

With its long coastline, Vindafjord municipality has a rich and diverse landscape that nurtures an array of wildlife and offers many excellent nature experiences. There are great hiking areas in the mountains and forests, and there are good opportunities for hunting wild birds, Canada goose, roe deer and red deer in the infields and outlying land around Nesheimstunet.

There are also good fishing spots in the fjord, rivers and freshwater lakes and the area is particularly good for fly fishing. Fishing in the fish-rich waters of Storavatnet lake, which is just below Nesheimstunet farm, costs nothing. The Vatsfjord and Yrkjesfjord have a rich and varied fish stocks, shellfish as well as many species of deep-water fish. If you're lucky, you might even see a sea eagle!
