Northern lights chase - Full course dinner - Warm facilities in arctic conditions - LyngenTourist

The Northern lights tour is for 2-8 persons. There will not be other northern lights visitors at the Aurora Base. The base is located near the arctic sea in Lyngenfjord 80 minutes east of Tromsø - one of the most popular areas for watching the northern lights in the district due to dry weather conditions.

Compared to many other northern lights products, we can offer a warm and comfortable barbecue cabin where you can enjoy hot drinks, full course dinner and snack while waiting for the northern lights to show up. Our previous guests have been very satisfied to have a warm cabin to warm up in, otherwise you will have to spend 3-4 hours outside in cold arctic winter conditions (minus 10 to minus 20 degrees centigrade).
The cabin is reserved for our guests as long as we stay at the Aurora Base.

We are able to show high amount of flexibility and head out from our Aurora Base to watch the northern lights if conditions are unsatisfactory at the Aurora Base.

Our guides/drivers will assist with camera settings and photographing if necessary.
We have warm winter suits/thermal suits available free of charge.
LyngenTourist is only using local guides and drivers with experience and knowledge.
When navigating outside the aurora basecamp, our local knowledge will lead you to remote places where you can have the opportunity to experience the northern lights far away from other people.

Departure time: 18:00 local time. Pick up is at the most convenient location for the group. You can choose between Lyngseidet, Skibotn or Tromsø.
Included: Guide, transfer (80 minutes each way from the basecamp), hot meal, hot drinks, barbecue hut, warm clothes, photos from the trip, drop-off at Scandic Ishavshotel.
Transportation vehicle: Mercedez Benz VITO 4MATIC (9-seats).
Duration: 7-8 hours.
