Overview

Nomadic art project overlooking Oslo's famous Opera House

SALT is a nomadic art project on Langkaia in Oslo, overlooking the Opera House. The project brings together art, music, food and architecture in several spectacular wooden constructions designed by Sami Rintala (Rintala Eggertsson Architects).

The programme at SALT includes concerts, art projects, debates, sauna, improv theatre and more. Sauna, good drinks and food all year long! Tickets for the events can be booked at Universe.

Árdna
SALT's largest sauna has a capacity of 80 people in the amfi and holds a temperature of 60–80°C (140–176 Fahrenheit). Árdna is one of the world’s biggest saunas and on weekends, it hosts Sauna Sessions. Outside you will find a 100-year-old, 7.000-litre aquavit barrel that has been turned into a sauna holding 80–90 degrees Celsius (176–194 Fahrenheit), as well as two cold water pools (fresh and salt water) and showers.

Naustet (The Boat House)
Café/bar partly built of driftwood found along the seashore, and furnished with details that may remind you of your  grandmother's cosy living room. At Naustet you can get real Norwegian waffles with brown cheese, baked goods, coffee and drinks. Naustet also has its own wood-burning sauna that may be rented by groups of up to eight people at Universe.

Langhuset
Concert venue, club, exhibition space and debate arena with room for 350 standing guests and about 170 seated guests.

Bazaar
Bazaar is a bedouin inspired tent in the heart of Oslo. At 450m2, there's plenty of space to chill out in cozy booths or dance the night away, all depending on the program.

The Arctic Pyramid
The Arctic Pyramid is a majestic 70 meters long fish rack, towering like an open tunnel over the seaside promenade between the Opera house and Vippetangen. It is used as a venue for installation and art projects.

Lillehjella
Lillehjella is SALTs outdoor stage and SALTs smallest fish rack, hosting concerts, film screenings and dance performances. Lillehjella has DJs playing carefully selected tracks in the summer months.
