Saltkjelsnes Camping offers cabins and camping pitches by the Rødvenfjord, with fishing and beautiful nature right on your doorstep.

Stay by the fjord in scenic surroundings

Saltkjelsnes Camping is idyllically located on the Rødven Peninsula by the Rødvenfjord, part of the larger Romsdalsfjord. Here, you can stay in cabins of various standards or choose from around 60 pitches for caravans, motorhomes and tents. The campsite is situated by the famous "straumen", where the tides create strong currents just outside the campsite. With a sheltered swimming cove and beautiful scenery right outside your door, this is an excellent choice for families, couples and fishing enthusiasts alike.

Fjord fishing and experiences at sea

The campsite has its own pier and rental boats, offering excellent opportunities to explore the Romsdalsfjord and try your luck fishing on your own. The area is well known for its rich fishing opportunities, both from shore and by boat.

For guests who wish to experience the fjord together with knowledgeable local guides, guided fishing trips are also available in the area. Saltkjelsnes Camping can provide information about these experiences, but guests are encouraged to contact the individual providers directly for bookings and further details.

Close to mountains and famous attractions

Saltkjelsnes Camping is an excellent base for exploring some of Norway's most famous attractions. From here, you are within easy reach of Trollstigen, the Atlantic Road, Trollveggen, Mardalsfossen, the Romsdalseggen Ridge and Via Ferrata Romsdalsstigen.

The surrounding area also offers numerous hiking trails and mountain walks with stunning views of fjords and mountains. Whether you are looking for peaceful days by the sea or active adventures in spectacular scenery, everything is in place for a varied stay in Northwest Norway.
