PlusCamp Saltstraumen is located 33 kilometers from Bodø, and has the world's strongest maelstrom as its closest neighbour. Here you can choose between simple cabins without water, or large family cabins and apartments. Pluscamp Saltstraumen Camping is located along Kystriksveien (Fv17), 33 kilometers from Bodø. From the campsite it is a couple of minutes walk down to Saltstraumen, the world's strongest maelstrom. Saltstraumen Camping is open all year round and has 19 cabins and 2 apartments with shower / wc, TV and dishwasher. We also have 4 simple cabins, several tent sites and around 80 caravan sites. In the newly renovated service facility, there are showers and toilets divided into small separate rooms, and a family bathroom. Free WiFi.

The area has a varied hiking terrain, and part of the trails along the stream are wheelchair accessible. Saltsraumen Camping is close to mountain areas with many attractive summit hikes all year round. Saltstraumen has a rich marine life, and fishing is possible from land, or we can arrange boat rentals. Saltstraumen DivingCamp is located in the same premises and offers diving and snorkeling in the stream.

Several times a day there is bus correspondance from Saltstraumen to Bodø, which makes it easy to take part in city life with shops, cafes, restaurants and a rich cultural life.
