Sanddalstølen

Sanddalen is beautifully located at the entrance of Jotunheimen. A signposted trail to the DNT cabin, Tomashelleren. Traditional mountain farming with cows, goats, lambs and foals. Cheese and butter making over the open fire. Guiding around the farm, taste our sour cream porridge, small pancakes and cured meat. We also sell caramelized brown cheese, sour cream and butter. Please: low seating capacity and various offers on different days. Sparstadtrøe i Sanddalen is a member business along Kongevegen across Filefjell. Open to visitors 2017: 1st July–16th August - Monday, Wednesday and Saturday - 12pm–5pm. There's no electricity or mobile net at Sanddalen. Please use SMS or e-mail to book space. Payment by cash only. DIRECTIONS: The farm is located at the North side of Vangsmjøsa in Vang. From road E16, Oslo: Drive towards Hensåsen/Slettefjellvegen at Hemsing bru. After 2 km, take to the left towards Vennis. Turn right after 8,7km towards Sanddalen. From road E16, Bergen: Take to the left towards Vennis from Eidsbru. After 9,1km, turn left towards Sanddalen. Private mountain road 7 km, fee NOK 50.
