Skarvruet´s Mountain Hotel and Mountain Station

Almost on Kalfjället, 859 m. above sea level and with a breathtaking mountain view in all directions, Skarvruets Högfjällshotell lies to the south. It has been a hotel and mountain station that mountain tourists have loved for almost a hundred years. The hotel is still an official STF Mountain Station in Tänndalen. Skarvruet is located in the Swedish/ Norwegian border mountains, near the glaciers Helags and Sylarna.

Wilderness and Wildlife

Skarvruet has always been a natural gathering place for anyone who loves to be in the summer and winter mountains, but fits all those seeking a unique relaxing true mountain experience that can be hard to find without travel too far away. Both winter and summer, Skarvruet can "serve" a true mountain experience that many tourists long for to experience or just dream about.

Different mountain activities can be varied within fishing, bird hunting, various types of skiing, snow shoe rides, snowmobile tours, climbing, cycling, hiking in summer mountains, canoeing. Exciting wildlife adventures - meeting animals in the mountains winter and summer, everyone can have the opportunity to experience themselves, but they can also be arranged. Sledding with horse, dog or reindeer and horse riding is an example. The location is also very good for wintertime experience amazing northern lights, Aurora Borealis.

Wellness

Staying at the Skarvruet, when a day on the mountain is admitted, it is great to come home and relax in front of the beautifully sprawling fireplaces. Then the relaxing romantic mountain feel will appear, as everyone is dreaming of and longing for.

Before or after the food, some people want a sauna. We have both wood-fired Finnish sauna and then large traditional sauna with panoramic views of the mountains.

The restaurant

The restaurant serves homemade, rustic food in Tore Wretman's spirit. Moose, reindeer, calf, lamb and trout are cooked and served with traditionally rich and exciting good sauces. Lingonberries and cranberries, various accessories, good cheeses, is a matter of course. Homemade desserts become the dot of the ice cream. Candelabra and many candles frame the festive dining experience together with good wines or whatever else is desired.
