Snowmobile soft expedition

This tour is conducted by Aurora Alps. Enjoy an exciting snowmobile expedition surrounded by beautiful and different nature, view to the Arctic sea and to the Lyngen Alps.

This snowmobile tour is in cooperation with Destination Tromsø.

A snowmobile, also known as a sled or a snowmachine, is a vehicle designed for winter travel and recreation on snow. It is designed to be operated on snow and does not require a road or trail, but most are driven on open trails.

Enjoy an exciting Snowmobile expedition surrounded by beautiful and different nature, view to the Arctic sea and to the Lyngen Alps. Two persons share one snowmobile and changed driver during the tour.

We go to Tamok valley and follow the track that winds through various landscapes and flat plains. In such areas with great views and open countryside that give you an experience of mastering this great vehicle, snowmobile, in the real nature.

Before the tour starts you will get training on how it is to drive a snowmobile.
Snowmobile expedition has a duration of 6,5 hours.
Departure from Tromsø at 10.00 and back in Tromsø at 16.30.

Time on the tour is about 2,5 hours incl. a hot drink during the trip. We serve a hot meal prior to the trip.
We have thermal suits, helmets, gloves and shoe covers.
Please remember to bring your driver's licence.

10am (10.00) - Departure from Scandic Ishavshotel, Tromsø ( be there 10 minutes prior)
11.30am (11.30) - Tamok valley and changed to winter clothing
12pm (12.00) - Meal in the Ice-dome
12.45 pm (12.45) - Snowmobile
3pm (15.00) - Departure Tamok valley
4.30pm (16.30) - Tromsø
