Snowshoeing with Reindeer

This tour is operated by Tromsø Arctic Reindeer.

Travel from Tromsø to a reindeer camp surrounded by Arctic nature. Before setting out on snowshoes, you will have the opportunity to meet and feed the reindeer.

You will be provided with snowshoes and poles before joining a guided 1–1.5-hour hike through the snow-covered hills near the camp. No previous snowshoeing experience is required, but a reasonable level of fitness is recommended as this is a physical outdoor activity.

After the hike, warm up around the fire inside a traditional gamme and enjoy a hot lunch with hot drinks, cake and cookies.

Minimum age to participate: 8 years

Food and drinks: A traditional hot lunch, hot drinks, cake and cookies are included. A gluten-free alternative is available. Please provide details of any food allergies or dietary requirements when booking.

Please bring: At least two layers of warm clothing, a warm hat, mittens and winter boots

Level of difficulty: Medium. No previous snowshoeing experience is required, but a reasonable level of fitness is recommended.

Departure time and place: 10 AM (10:00) or 1 PM (13:00) from the bus terminal at Tromsø Havn Prostneset, Samuel Arnesens gate 5, Tromsø

Meeting time: 15 minutes before departure
