Standard Fjord Tour PLUSS from Voss

This is a very popular round trip that lasts about 7 hours and takes you through some of the most beautiful landscapes in Norway. The tour includes the Bergen Railway, Scandinavias longest zipline, a bike ride down the Flåm valley and a fjord safari with a local guide from Flåm to Gudvangen.

The Standard Fjord Tour PLUSS starts at the railway station in Voss with the train from Voss to Myrdal station. From Myrdal station you hike about 900 meters to the starting point of the zipline at Vatnahalsen. The zipline is 1381 meter long, the longest in Scandinavia.

Cycling:

After the zipline, there's a bike waiting for you. Flåm Valley is one of the most beautiful stretches you can ride! The bike ride is suitable for those who have experience riding a bike. The ride is about 16 kilometers long, mainly downhill and in flat terrain. Estimated arrival in Flåm is 11:20 and you have time to stop and take pictures along the way! There is a lower age limit of 12 years for the cycling trip.

Flåm:

Flåm is a charming small village surrounded by steep mountainsides, cascading waterfalls and narrow valleys. It is lovely just to stroll around.

Fjord safari:

You then rendezvous at the quay at 11:40 to get dressed, equipped and register for the fjord safari. There are maximum 12 passengers and a guide in each RIB boat, so it almost feels like you are on a private tour. The boat stops at several places en route and the guide tells interesting stories about the local history of the fjords. You will also have a good chance of seeing some marine wildlife and birds in their natural element, for example seals, harbour porpoises and eagles. On this safari, the boat heads out the Aurlandfjord and up the Nærøyfjord.

The Nærøyfjord is one of the narrowest fjords in Europe. In 2005, the Nærøyfjord was inscribed on UNESCO's World Heritage List. The safari takes around 1 hour and 20 minutes and ends in Gudvangen.

Bus to Voss:

In Gudvangen, your guide is waiting for you with a minibus to take you to Voss. You arrive in Voss at about 14.15. The Standard Fjord Tour lasts about 7 hours and takes you through some of the most beautiful scenery Norway has to offer.
