Stranda Resort
Stranda is definitely not just a winter destination! Take the gondola to the top and enjoy the panoramic view from 1042 m.a.s.l., and you have a great starting point for hiking and cycling. The panoramic view over the fjord village of Stranda, the Storfjord and the UNESCO World Heritage Area is majestic. The gondola takes visitors from 400 m.a.s.l. up to the top station and the spectacular viewpoint at 1042 m.a.s.l. The surrounding area is perfect for mountain hiking as well as downhill and freeride cycling.
Since the gondola opened in 2012, the area has become accessible for more visitors, regardless of age or physical shape. Young and old hiking enthusiasts will find a great variety of routes in the area with the gondola at Strandafjellet and Roaldshorn as a starting- or end point. You can choose from several different hikes, or just sit down and enjoy the view as well as the food from our restaurants.

There is also a bunch of lovely places to take a bath along the river in Hevsdalen, just a few meters from the "Catwalk" (which is the road along the river). The catwalk is also the perfect road to take a bicycle-trip for both children and adults.
Stranda Hotel
Do you need accommodation? Welcome to Stranda Hotel – a nice hotel with modern rooms in the middle of spectacular nature and world heritage. The Hotel is located in Stranda sentrum, a short distance from Stranda resort (5-6 minutes by car). Stranda Hotel also has a swimming pool which is a perfect choice for spending time with your family or if you want a nice way to workout.
