Eva Schmutterer - author and visual artist was born in Nuremberg, Germany. In 1997 she moved to Kamøyvær, a small fishing village in the far north of Finnmark. Here she lives with her husband and cat, surrounded by subarctic landscapes and mighty seasons, and here she runs the local gallery.
Surrounded by snowstorms and the midnight sun, she makes pictures and writes books, makes information material for tourists and handicrafts, often with nature as a raw material.
