Tingvollost is a family-run dairy farm that produces six different white and blue mold cheeses made from pasteurized cow’s milk from their own farm. The world-famous cheese Kraftkar was crowned the best cheese in the world in 2016 – in any category! In the farm shop, you’ll find this and many other award-winning cheeses, ready to taste or take home.
In addition to their own cheeses, Tingvollost sells local food and handcrafted products from the area. Here, you can find unique gifts or flavorful ingredients for your own kitchen. In the shop, you can watch the cheese-making process through a window into the dairy and maybe even meet some of the people who make the cheese. This offers a unique opportunity to learn more about how award-winning cheeses are made.
The farm is equipped for families with children, offering playground equipment, seating, and restrooms. The cows graze outdoors in the summer, and children can meet the animals, each with its own name and personality. The farm is home to four generations of the Waagen family. This is where the Tingvollost adventure began in 2003, and the farm combines tradition with modern craftsmanship.
Tingvollost is located in Tingvoll municipality in Nordmøre. It’s easy to reach by car, and the farm lies along a scenic route that’s worth the journey in itself.
