Ålesund Via Ferrata offers a climb from the town park and up the southern wall of the town mountain Aksla. The climb ends right underneath the viewpoint Fjellstua. Return journey down the town stairs.

Ålesund Via Ferrata is an experience out of the ordinary. In the heart of town lies the town park and town mountain. The south wall on Aksla is solid granite and has a spectacular view over the town, ocean and Sunnmørsalpane in the south.

You can rent equipement and climb solo to the top of Aksla or join a guided tour. Everyday, all summer, there will be two guides that helps with the rent of equipment and security in the area.

Ålesund Via Ferrata is graded A+. This is an easy ferrata, but it is open and airy and has a wonderful view towards to town underneath. About half way up to the top you will find a bench where you and your friends can take a break and enjoy the view.

The climb is about an hour (250 meters)

,Important information:
,You don't need any experience from climbing, but normal physique is necessary. Guests with a fear of heights can't participate.

Remember to wear good hiking boots or sneakers. Gloves can be bought.
