Visit Wilderness in Åmli

For more than 20 years, Visit Wilderness in Åmli has been organizing tours for canoeing, climbing, and hiking. Here you can either rent equipment or book a tour with equipment and a guide. The six cozy cabins are located on a traditional farm at Tverstøyl, once the residence of Olav Tverstøyl, a prominent bear hunter in his time. The cabins have basic standards and accommodate 3 to 5 people. Water, toilets, and showers are in a shared sanitary building. There is a playground for children, short hiking trails around the cabins, such as an archery course, and a sauna that can be rented.

"Archery" is a unique experience for the whole family. On the 2 km long journey through the forest, there are 14 stations with three-dimensional animals made of special foam. You can rent bows and arrows and, of course, receive training. Equipment and guidance for the Via Ferrata course at Trogfjell can also be booked through Visit Wilderness.

Climbing is weather-dependent and does not take place in snow, ice, and rain.
