Join a guided whisky tasting with stories from Myken and a tour of the island’s own Whisky Cathedral.
On the outer Helgeland coast, surrounded by the sea, wind and changing Arctic light, all whisky from Myken Distillery is produced, matured and bottled on the small island of Myken.
Step inside the Whisky Cathedral, the distillery’s award-winning whisky warehouse and tasting room. Hear the story of the island, the people behind the distillery and how whisky production began here. Along the way, taste whisky matured in the distinctive climate far out at sea.
High Tide
The signature tasting includes five 2 cl servings of whisky, including special and limited releases.
Low Tide
A tasting of two 2 cl servings from the distillery’s core whisky range.
Guided tours
During the summer season, from 15 June to 15 August, guided tours and tastings are offered Monday to Saturday at 15:00. Private tours can be arranged throughout the year outside the summer season.
Myken is a car-free island and can be reached by express passenger boat or private boat.
The Nordland Express connects Myken via Rødøy, Vågaholmen or Tonnes, depending on the direction of travel and day of the week.
Visitors can also take the train to Mo i Rana and continue to Tonnes, or drive to Tonnes or Vågaholmen and take the boat from there.
