About the Talk
Working protocol.
I don't know very much.
Noticing something or meeting someone prompts me to respond by making an object or causing something to happen. The act itself becomes both the reason and the method. For example: a museum in my wallet; showing my daughter how to cook a whole animal; a customs officer discovering body parts in my luggage; or, more recently, my partner almost being sentenced to 20 years in prison.
I tell these stories in public for a while.
I write them down and accept that writing changes the way they are told.
I turn them into graphic design publications, produce them, and publish them from a small publishing hut.
I hope people read them, and then I move on to another thing, another encounter, another story.
