Øystein Greni Presents Bigbang Solo
After a long career as a bandleader and songwriter, Øystein Greni has built a song catalogue that few can rival, filled with melodies and guitar riffs destined to live on in Norwegian music history. Bigbang are as active as ever, but Greni still finds time in a busy schedule to perform a number of solo concerts. In these performances, he strips things back and presents Bigbang in a solo format. That does not mean the concert will consist solely of quiet songs – Greni is a phenomenal guitarist who knows exactly how to entertain an audience. Join us for an intimate evening where you can experience many of Bigbang’s classics in a close and acoustic setting.
About Bysommer:
Few artists have captured Oslo as precisely as Lillebjørn Nilsen. Through a long artistic career, poetry and folk songs, he gave us a profound insight into the soul of the city. For many years, Lillebjørn and his collaborator Helge Westbye invited audiences to “Bysommer”, a concert held during Norway’s main summer holiday period. We are now continuing that legacy with the Bysommer concert series, where artists who, like Lillebjørn, love Oslo bring positive energy to the city’s laid-back summer atmosphere.
